What we want to hear

You caught something wrong

A date is off. A name is spelled incorrectly. A source we cited has changed or no longer says what we claim. Send the URL, the claim in question, and what the correction should be. If you have the document we should have cited and didn't, include it. Articles get corrected, the correction is noted with a date, and the modified date updates publicly. No stealth edits, ever.

You have source material

Photographs, letters, scanned documents, personal accounts, family records. If your family has material that belongs in the historical archive and you'd like it attributed and preserved properly, reach out. Include what it is, where it's from, and any licensing terms you want attached. The more specific you are upfront, the faster we can process it.

You work with local records

If your organization maintains archives, photographs, or documents relevant to Brevard County history and you'd like us aware of them, let us know. We'd rather cite the primary source than a secondary account of it.

What we can't help with

Genealogy research, title searches, requests to remove accurate historical records from published articles, and questions about current local government. We're a history publication. For present-day Brevard County services, Brevard County's official site is at brevardfl.gov.
